Sign Inventory Assessment

GIS Solutions Inc. approached the City of Nanaimo to offer assistance in gathering a sample GPS inventory of street signage in two distinct areas of Nanaimo representing differing densities and sign types. This entailed assistance in the design of the data logger forms and database structure, field planning methodology and procedures, GPS surveying, post-processing and differential correction of features, and summary report. The results of this pilot were used to determine the feasibility of a wider scale inventory, including methodology and procedures.
